Causes of road crashes in Uganda, 2011 - 2020

Description: The data shows the different causes of road traffic crashes in Uganda over years. The crashes are further disaggregated into fatal, serious and minor. The causes include careless driving, reckless driving, careless pedestrian, DMC, over speeding, etc.

The data indicates that careless driving and reckless driving were the top two leading causes of all road crashes in Uganda in the last 10 years (2011 – 2020). The two causes contributed to seven out of every 10 road crashes registered by the Uganda Police Force.
